At the heart of Xplosive Athletics is a simple belief: Every child deserves to be seen, valued, and guided toward who God created them to be.
Like many young athletes, our founder spent years striving, chasing a dream of playing professional basketball, and searching for identity through achievement. But after years of striving, there came a moment of clarity. In that moment, she realized something very powerful: that instead of striving for basketball, she should be surrendering that very gift to God.
AND THE TRAINING BEGAN!
What began as simple side training gigs quickly revealed itself as so much more. It became clear this was not just an activity, but a God-ordained assignment.
As she began working with youth, something unexpected happened. Through intentional discipleship, consistent presence, and genuine attentiveness, basketball created a safe space. A place where kids felt comfortable enough to open up. A place where conversations went deeper than just the game. A place where youth who felt overlooked or unheard began to feel seen.
Basketball became the bridge.
Not just to skill development but to open up doors for vulnerability, confidence-building, and incredible transformation.
From rented courts to borrowed spaces, the vision continued to grow. Testimonies spread. Trust deepened. More children came, not because of marketing or programming, but because they felt safe. What was never meant to be a formal program became a movement;
Over time, that movement grew into a home base, a place intentionally designed to protect, develop, and empower youth and teens.
And the reach didn’t stop there!
One mission trip planted a seed in Zambia, Africa, and even after our founder returned home, the impact multiplied.
Zambian leaders embraced basketball as a powerful tool for discipleship, mentorship, and community transformation. What began with one act of obedience continued to grow beyond borders.
Today, Xplosive Athletics serves youth locally and globally through basketball, intentional discipleship, mentorship, and confidence-building. Over 100 students and athletes have surrendered their lives to Christ, and countless others are being shaped through safe relationships, steady guidance, and faith-centered community.
We are more than a gym.
We are more than training sessions and classes.

Meet Krishawn
Founder/Owner: Krishawn Crockett
Hi, I'm Krishawn Crockett, CEO and Founder of Xplosive Athletics. Xplosive Athletics was established in 2020 on a vision given through God. It was created to prep and train athletes to perform at any high level that they may desire. The mission is to use the game of basketball as a tool to reach the youth and draw them near to Christ. I believe with the foundation of Christ, there is no limit to life. In doing so, Xplosive Athletics sets a high expectation for our kids physically, mentally, spiritually, and academically by teaching them core values and pushing them beyond their comfort zones. We strive intentionally to set a warm feeling atmosphere so that the community may feel safe, cared for, and loved beyond their homes. We express our gratitude to all those who have entrusted us with their child and we appreciate the support .
